• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Can't unset read-only folder

I've got an MS access database that lives in c:\inetpub\vhosts\clientx\httpdocs\database

The webpage is reading the database just fine, but there is ad admin control panel that writes to that database, but it doesn't work.

When I right click on the database folder, I see that it is marked read-only. I can uncheck that box, but then when I go back to it agai it is reset to readonly again.

How do I make this change stay? I even have this problem when I create a folder outside of the inetpub folder. I used the file manager within plesk to give full permissions to all users, however I'm pretty sure that the read-only attribute is what is causing my problem.

Can someone please let me know, I'm sure it is something simple I'm missing.

No need to unset read only, Just assign write permissions to IUSR_domainuser
