Change default PHP Support option

barbutti

New Pleskian
Currently, any new site I create gets the PHP Support option set to FastCGI by default.
Is there any way to change this default option to the Apache Module support for PHP?

Additionally, is there any batch way to change this setting? I need to change this in 90 different sites, so would be great to have a one-click solution.

I'm running Plesk 11.0.9.

Thanks in advance.

Most likely all new subscriptions (domains) have same service plan, so you can change that by going to:

Home --> Service Plans --> (pick your plan name) --> click on tab "Hosting Parameters" --> under "Scripting" run PHP as (pick something).

Update & Sync - note, this will only sync with subscriptions that are unlocked (those who're locked - you will have to update manually).

Thanks for the quick answer, MislavO. However, I don't have any of those options in my Plesk Panel.
Maybe this is probably because I'm running in Power User mode. Any ideas what to do there?

Thanks again.

Can't help you anymore on this one, I've tried to change Interface to Power User view, but unfortunately with no success (clients / resellers are created on every server).

Must be there sometiming in options, search a bit, I've never used power user mode, so I don't even know how does it looks like :)

I've searched all around, can't find it anywhere. Probably it isn't possible and I'll just have to go one by one.
Oh well…

I'm curious, what is stoping you to change Interface? This Power User mode is so important? :) I bet you will get used to Service Provider view fast.

The whole company is used to the Power User mode, so would be tough switching.
I tried real quick the Service Provider view to try your solution, but none of my Service Plans are in use. I think it's either because (a) I haven't used the Service Provider view or (b) I'm migrating from a Plesk 8 installation using the Migration Manager.

I'll keep trying to find a way, will post updates here if I find something.

I was playing a bit with Power User mode here:
http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk/demos/

You said that you switched to Service and you didn't saw any service plan? Well, you can always create NEW service plan, set configuration and limit as you wish (also set this "PHP support runs as" you asked) and then go to the Home --> Subscriptions --> Select all --> Change plan --> apply new plan - that plan will sync all subscription with the values/limits/configuration you've set in your Service plan you've maded. Then you can switch back to the Power User mode :))))

By the way, why do you want to change the PHP cgi? It's good...i'm using it on all (almost) servers where is apache.

That didn't work, unfortunately. None of the migrated sites are part of any Subscription. Since Plesk 8 didn't have this concept per se, I think it just ignored when moving the domains. I was, however, able to edit the default Service Plan in use which means that new domains that I create will have the desired setting.

I want to use Apache Module because it's faster and also because of compatibility issues in the migration, basically.

Thanks again for the help!
