Change domain nameservers

SilviuS

New Pleskian
Hello,
Recently I have migrated from a VPS to another VPS.
How can I change nameservers for domains in old VPS to point them to the new VPS ?
Thank you.

Hi Silvius,

that needs to be done on the domain level, not in Plesk. Head over to your domain registrar's control panel and change the IP on your domains from that of the old VPS to the that of the new VPS. Once switched the new VPS will be in charge of your domains.

If the DNS server you were / are using is NOT the plesk VPS you migrated from, then you would need to change the IP address in the DNS records from your DNS Manager.

Unfortunately NOT! Remember, that VPS (Your old VPS) will be shutdown eventually rendering useless it's DNS records.
