Resolved Change smtp sender that PMMCli-Daemon uses to send emails

danimora

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
CentOS Linux 7.9.2009 (Core)
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.43
Hi! two related questions:

How can I change the email account that the "PMMCli-Daemon" uses to send emails?

Also, is it possible to configure an external smtp account so that all the notifications a Plesk installation are sent using the external smpt service? I need to ensure maximum deliverability because now I'm missing some notifications that goes into the spam folder.

Hi,

Please check this file, it contains the options you're looking for:

/usr/local/psa/admin/share/pmmcli/pmmcli-rc.sample

Add them to the pmmcli-rc file, change the parameters, remove the '#' from the lines you need and it should work.

Code:
# Notification mail 'mail-from' parameter
#NOTIFICATION_MAIL_FROM 'Administrator'

# smtpserver name
#SMTPSERVER localhost

# AUTHREQUIRED param of smtpserver
#AUTHREQUIRED 0

# smtpserver user name (not required if AUTHREQUIRED=0)
#SMTPUSER user

# smtpserver user password (not required if AUTHREQUIRED=0)
#SMTPPASS pass

@Maarten. Which parameter did you use? Gmail credentials or a email hosted on the same server keeping localhost? And how to set the mail address? This is just servername+user+psw but no address? Thanks in advance!
