• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Change the primary domain for the server

ilijamt

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

I need to move a domain on plesk that is used as a primary, meaning the hostname is the exact name as the primary domain, the preview links are generated on that domain.

So I want to move that domain to a different server that will not have Plesk, I will setup the DNS and all the required part so it's gonna be the same.

Now lets say our domain is example.com

In the server where I will move the main domain I will create an entry host1.example.com and point it to the IP of the server.

I want to re-name the plesk server to host1.example.com and then use that domain for the server.

In server settings there is hostname settings which I will change host1.example.com, is it possible to achieve this, with cPanel I know you can do it, but what about Plesk.
