is it posible to do a distribution upgrade or is Plesk out of service after that?

You should first upgrade to Plesk 7.5 Reloaded according to the following Knowledge Base article:

I’m currently running Plesk 6 and I want to upgrade my system to Plesk 7.5 Reloaded. What are my options?
