  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

DNS and multiple webspaces

New Pleskian
Hello, I have searched the web but did not find a proper guide to do this.
Example:
2 webspaces, 2 domains (domain1.com, domain2.com)
domain1.com serves as dns server ns1.domain1.com - 1.1.1.1 , ns2.domain1.com - 1.1.1.2
domain2.com should use the above ns.

So my question is how to properly setup my server so that the above example works without errors.

All there's to be done is for you to register those respective NS records (ns1/nd2.domain1.com) from your domain name registry ..(Most of them have this service already)
Optional (but helps) also to set-up A records (ns1/ns2.domain1.com) from your plesk server ...

If you have already registered them then that would be it ...
Ofcourse for the domains to be served must be created in plesk (the server(s) holding ns1/ns2 IPs) with there respective DNS records enabled.

So you suggest that I have to do no modifications in dns settings in plesk and everything will work??? I am not a server wizard but this is not working just like that. It is a dedicated server by the way.

Both of your domain names are resolving just fine and all resolve to 82.192.91.194 which I guess is your plesk host server IP address. I therefore see no problem at-all with the resolutions ..

Infact when I open them here, I see a site which seems to list cars ...

Sites are working perfectly but I cannot add them to any search engine and any webmaster tools (analytics etc). All the tools report some issue with dns server. You can look it up in pingdom dnscheck.
