DNS service as slave for PowerDNS

geohei

New Pleskian
Hi.

Using Plesk 12.5.30 on Ubuntu 14.04.4.

May I use the implemented DNS as slave for an existing PowerDNS master server?

Thanks,

My master PowerDNS server log says that it seems to work, but unfortunately, I would prefer to enter a FQDN (CNAME) for my (test) master PowerDNS server, which is behind a dynamic IP.

Plesk required an IP address.

What can I do?

Is there any solution to this?
Id est ... can I use a FQDN address as Plesk entry for the slave server instead of a fix IP?

Hi.

Using Plesk 12.5.30 on Ubuntu 14.04.4.
I used Plesk DNS as slave DNS server for my PowerDNS master server.
How can I check if the slave server (managed by Plesk) works properly?
Where are the logs?

Thanks,

I suppose that there is no way to use master DNS with dynamic IP address. Actually, it is not good idea to use dynamic IPs in DNS infrastructure.
But you can submit corresponding feature request here https://plesk.uservoice.com
