My master PowerDNS server log says that it seems to work, but unfortunately, I would prefer to enter a FQDN (CNAME) for my (test) master PowerDNS server, which is behind a dynamic IP.
Using Plesk 12.5.30 on Ubuntu 14.04.4.
I used Plesk DNS as slave DNS server for my PowerDNS master server.
How can I check if the slave server (managed by Plesk) works properly?
Where are the logs?
I suppose that there is no way to use master DNS with dynamic IP address. Actually, it is not good idea to use dynamic IPs in DNS infrastructure.
But you can submit corresponding feature request here https://plesk.uservoice.com

I adapted /etc/named (for bind9) but it doesn't seem to allow a dynamic IP.
Any yes, I know it's a bad idea to have a DNS server behind a dynamic IP, but the project started up as test. Meanwhile it turned into something more permanent (like so often ... )
