• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Issue Dropbox: Transport error: Extension transport: ext://dropbox-backup/server

ayadai

New Pleskian
Dropbox is configured as our default full server backup method, scheduled daily. The error, Transport error: Extension transport: ext://dropbox-backup/server displayed every time until I installed the panel.ini editor and revised the settings as follows:

[ext-dropbox-backup] ConnectionTimeout 30 90
[ext-dropbox-backup] RequestTimeout 300 600
[ext-dropbox-backup] PauseBetweenAttempts 30 15

After the panel.ini configuration changes, the backup manager now loads (after a long delay as expected) inconsistently. If it does not load, the Transport error: Extension transport displays in red at the top and the latest backup shows as unavailable. If it does load, the latest backup shows as successful, but with the message, "The backup (time/date) was created, although some issues occurred and the backup might not be entirely valid." Upon viewing the log, the error, Failed to exec pmm-ras: Exit code: 129: Transport error: Extension transport: ext://dropbox-backup/server displays.
