• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue drwebd fails to start on two debian 10/11 servers since last night

TimReeves

Regular Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 10 and 11
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.67 Update #3
Sadly, I've already had to post several threads on this topic in the last few years - the way Plesk authenticates drwebd seems to be really fragile and ever again causes problems. Would be great if an alternative, robust solution can be implemented.
DrWebd was running normally on two servers and got automatically restarted in the night (by some housekeeping software of mine) - and failed to restart. I haven't touched the setup at either of those servers in weeks, and the last Plesk update was: Plesk Obsidian 18.0.67 Update #3, last updated on Feb 20, 2025 03:10 AM. So I've changed nothing but suddenly, at TWO servers, it won't start any more. WTF? This issue is slowly becoming a heartbreaker - help, help!
Thanks,
Tim
