error upgrading plesk 8.0 fc2

Plesk is running weird, but is running.
After I tried to upgrade to 8.00 plesk, my Emails stop Working, I reached the error in Telnet,.
The error is the same that my Email Client shows me....so I just dont know how to fix it or to restore everyting to plesk7.5.

When i loggin to plesk still says Plesk 7.5.4 and when I run the autoinstaller in plesk, nothing happends.....

Yes, via SSH, Is that your question?

I can access thru SSH and thru Plesk.

Tell me what "rpm -qa | grep psa" gives you when you ssh into the box.

One question, is there a way I can Backup an specific domain name in 7.5.4 and then restore it in 8.0??? which command lines would you use?

Wow, you have got a messed up install. You have mostly 8.0 rpms, but psa is 7.5.4. The psa-qmail you have is the 8.0 one which is probably causing the problem. You may just need to force an install of 8.0. I don't want to tell you to do something that will cause more problems than you already have.

What would you do???

I am kind of desperate here....

I appreciate your help

Have you tried to just run the autoupdater from the command line? That might be your best bet at this point.

Do you think it will be best to go for 8.0? or is there a way I can back complety to 7.5.4???

At this point, I think you probably need to go to 8.0. I don't think you can go back to 7.5.4 now, but I could be wrong. Try to run the autoinstaller form the command line and see what happens.

The update button in plesk just did nothing.
At that point the emails when down and plesk just started running funny,.

When everything started, I was using the autoinstaller for spam assassin 8.0 and horde.

Now the update button does not work.

Do you know how to backup all data, config, passwords and everything for an specific domain name? and restored in a 8.0 box?

I'm not sure. I think they changed the backup utilities for 8.0 so I'm not sure you can do a backup from 7.5.4 and restore it to 8.0.

I want to make a backup before I run the autorinstall from command line.

Gosh, I have been fighting with this 8 hours in a row....!!!

Run the command line autoinstaller and update the base packages of plesk would be my next try, but I would at least try to get a backup. Do you not do daily backups of your server?

Well running the command line autoinstaller is no different than running the autoinstaller from the Plesk admin. It shouldn't delete anything, but you never know.
