After Upgrading Plesk from 9.5.3 to 10.0.1 I get this error when I login to my plesk account:

Code:
ERROR: Zend_Log_Exception
"/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log" cannot be opened with mode "a"

0: Stream.php:66
	Zend_Log_Writer_Stream->__construct(string '/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log')
1: Abstract.php:84

2: Abstract.php:31
	CommonPanel_Application_Abstract->run()
3: Abstract.php:19
	CommonPanel_Application_Abstract::init()
4: auth.php3:137

How can we fix this problem, thanks.

i get the same error message in plesk panel. it seems that the sql tables are not updated.. is there any way the reinstall the update 10.0.0 or manually update the sql tables or what is the error for this?

I have the same problem, i contact the support and they says me:

"
The reason of the issue is that plesk internal database was not upgraded properly.

Unfortunately I see no quick solution right now.

Our engineers will keep you updated."

and

"Yes, this looks like serious issue for me to.

I have passed all the details to developers.

We will update you as soon as we have any news."

if i have some solution or news i update this post

regards

arnaud

The solution

Charge the soft WInscp : http://winscp.net/eng/docs/lang:fr

And go in your serveur with it.

After, change with right click in property 06... in 0777 for the panle.log in /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log

That s all, now it is ok

Thierry

hope you get an aswer soon.. because the chmod 777 on panel.log doesnt work. so i think that the table really does not exist..

I think I have a solution that works - as Chris says, a reinstall/continued install appears to fix it.
What i did was:
1. Restore the PSA mysql database to the old one - I used a daily backup as opposed to a preupgrade backup, from when it was stable. (Details here: http://kb.odin.com/article_17_881_en.html)

2. Ran an upgrade using /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller with all options as default and installing 10.0.0.1 (as 10.0.0.0 wouldn't install as it was the current version - this may need to be switched if necessary)

Once this installation had completed, it appears to work.
If it hits any errors, these are probably the reason that it failed in the first place, so probably need to restore the database, fix the errors, and try again...

thanks. i gonna try it, i will post the resolution of this :-3

Hi

Parallels support repare my plesk i post you the reply

To complete configuration I executed the script manually:

"ns8:~# /opt/psa/bootstrapper/pp10.9.0-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair
...
All stages of the upgrade were successful.
psa is now running on your system."

for me there's no psa in /opt/
[root@XXX-XX-XXX-XX opt]# ls
[root@XXX-XX-XXX-XX opt]#

and when i try to run: /usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp10.8.0-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair
I still get:
ERROR while trying to SMB database not created
Check the error reason(see log file: /tmp/pp10.8.0-bootstrapper.101105.10.35.log), fix and try again

also note that i do not have 10.9.0 I only have 10.8.0 ?!

just used the command
/usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp10.9.0-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair
and now it works fine... thank you for all the good advises!

Strange - I tried it yesterday and it didn't work. Today, I tried it again and it worked fine. All is fixed. I must have done something wrong the first time. Thanks for that solution!
