• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Filezilla FTP server

My Server has been running for a while and I have many domains on it.
If I install filezilla FTP server now will my existing FTP clients still work?

To my knowledge, FileZilla Server isn't supported through Plesk - but you could run it on a non-standard port and it would work fine (as long as you poked holes in your firewall for it). It would NOT automatically map user accounts, permissions and the like.

I loved FileZilla Server - until I was encouraged to try out Gene6. You really ought to give Gene6 FTP a try - it's supported by Plesk, and you can still add custom configurations to it and custom remote monitoring ports and stuff. Very powerful, scriptable, extensive logging and logging options, and real-time monitoring. Cool stuff. It's not free, but it's worth every single penny.
