FTP login works with any domain

dimensions

Basic Pleskian
There is a strange bug in Plesk which we found after upgrading to v 7.5.1.

We have a domain1 with X ftp login and another domain2 with Y FTP login.

We can login to the to X ftp using domain2 as host and vice versa. This shouldnt happen.

Also the other issue :
If there exists a webuser under domain1 with B login we cannot create the same webuser within domain2???

any idea how we can overcome this?

It's normal. You can use any domain on your IP or IP as host to connect

It's normal too, because it's impossible to have 2 users with same login in Windows

Thank you for your reply.

But isnt it strange that domain1 user can login to FTP using domain2 as the hostname. This doenst happen in the Linux version of the control panel??

Thats correct.
But what I wanted to say was the webusers created. Shouldnt they be allotted the login based on their domain. Whenever a customer tries to create a webuser which is created by some other customer he gets the message saying the user already exists - And he cannot see the web user. This is creating lot of confusion.

Do u think the Gene6 FTP solves this issue?

FTP is IP based protocol. You connected to IP addresses of domain1 and domain2 really.
