FTP Not Working

So far the game module I bought doesnt work, and now ftp isnt working. You cant connect. When I try to rpm the proftpd files in the base dir of install. It says already installed.

But yet there is no connection made to the ftp.

Even if i ftp from the prompt of linux machine its on. there is no connection. Its like theres no ftp running.

How can I fix this?

proftpd server in plesk works through the xinetd daemon. So you need to check xinetd configuration and check if it works at all.

I figured it out, it was the host name.

Even though i had added a dns entry for what I wanted the host name to be. Once I added a subdomain and then used that as a host name everything worked great.
