when i try to change the FTP/Microsoft FrontPage Login i get this error. Everything started when i changed the domain name, now its been 3 days of complete nightmare:

Error: Unable to update hosting preferences:
The following system user attributes were not changed:
login (The user (IUSR_xxxx) rename failed: the user is not exist)
home (Unable to find metadata path for user: xxxx)

I deleted and recreated the whole thing all over again, better than wait for this post to be approved (24 hrs) and then for someone to help (maybe never)

In such situation 2 domain users should be checked: FTP user and the user used for anonymous acsess to that domain, IUSR_<ftp_user_name>. It shuold be verified that they exist, not disabled and home directory path in their properties is correct; you can simply compare them with users belong to another domains. Users can be checked on the server in Computer management > Local users and groups

yeah thanks, but of course i've already figured it out. I did not like this forum.

It uses something called junction.
