Question How to install imagick correctly ?

Wordpress sites complain that imagick is not installed.
What is the correct way to install it?
When I tried
dnf install php-pecl-imagick plesk-php??-imagick
, it scared me - it downgraded php stuff..

so I removed all imagick and redid the dnf update.. which fixed things..
This is EL7 btw..
