• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Install failed, repair failed

Oddish

New Pleskian
I tried installing Plesk this morning on a cloud server running Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and it got stuck on something like "Processing triggers for ufw...".

I waited more than one 1 hour and tried restarting the install procedure (./plesk-installer --web-interface) and I get this screen:

HCsNaBS.png

So I tried to repair the installation via command line ("plesk repair installation") which gave me this at the end:

ERROR while trying to store APS controller db connection parameters into product db

Check the error reason(see log file: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_17.5.3_repair.log), fix and try again

***** problem report *****

ERROR while trying to store APS controller db connection parameters into product db

Check the error reason(see log file: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_17.5.3_repair.log), fix and try again

exit status 1

root@[redacted]:~# /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_17.5.3_repair.log

-bash: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_17.5.3_repair.log: Permission denied

How do I proceed? Is there a way to completely erase Plesk and try to install it again from scratch?

Thanks!
