  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Installation of Persits ASPJpeg and ASPUpload

Hi all,

I've installed ASPJpeg and ASPUpload on my dedicated server using by remote desktoping on.

When I try to access the component using Server.CreateObject in the ASP script I get an Active X Can't Create Object.

I've done some searching around this forum for suggestions and all I could see was to set read and execute permissions on the "bin" directory and the dll executable in it for the psaadm user and psacln group (I have also removed the inherited deny flags).

This still doesn't allow me to create the object

Can you please confirm what other things I need to do to get this working.

Using Windows Explorer, right-click on the appropriate component DLL on the server's hard drive, select Properties/Security, and give the "Everyone" account Full Control over it.
