  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved IONOS - changing nameservers to Plesk

Flying-Hawk

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 20.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.59
I'm currently trying to change my nameservers on IONOS to Plesk using the following tutorials. But I've had no success to get my side running.

Side:
[redacted]

Tutorial-IONOS:

Tutorial-Plesk:

Neither did work, I extra purchased a second IP from IONOS, because in the tutorial of Plesk it needs on, and I added it to Plesk.

I can reach my side via ip but not my domain name.

I've double checked all nameserver settings on IONOS and DNS settings on Plesk and did everything exactly as described, I also waited long enough for propagation.

I'm starting to believe, those providers, never really test their own services and make things up as they go.

I found the solution to my problem myself.

Port 53 on IONOS server wasn't set propably by myself.

I needed to change it from TCP to TCP & UPD.

Maybe it's helpfull for someone in the future.

Thread can be check as solved, thank you.
