• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Login only via Hostname

Hello everybody,

I changed my hostname a few weeks ago to let's say plesk01.domain.tld. This works fine.
But how can I avoid or disable the login screen on customer-domain.tld:8443 or admin-domain.tld:8443?

Hmm...I don't think you can do what you want very easily.

I suspect that the web server that listens on port 8443 (for Plesk) would have to have its configuration changed so that it only responds to requests for your hostname instead of for *. I suspect any changes you make would be overwritten following some panel updates.

Why not just not tell your clients that they can access the system usingtheir own domain name? What they don't know, they won't use. Just tell them to use the address you want them to use. And at the end of the day, if you have an SSL certificate installed for your hostname then that will be the only one that won't give an error when they visit it.
 
Not sure if I fully understand what you want to achieve, but you can restrict admin interface access by IP Address.

Fine if you always access Plesk Panel from a static IP.

Tools & Settings > Restrict Administrative Access.

Be careful with this if you're not sure how you get your public IP, you don't want to "lock yourself out"!

Don't know if this blocks port 8443 or just restricts logins though?!
