• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Login to Plesk from Power panel

ITTECH

Basic Pleskian
Dears,
Hope you are doing well!
Kindly note that I have this issue after upgrading to plesk 17.0.17
When trying to open Plesk from Virtuozzo Power panel i get the following:

An internal error occurred in Plesk.
Due to security reasons the option \'-show-password\' is no longer supported. Use \'--get-login-link\' to generate a one-time login link

Either Windows or Linux, it is the same.

Please advise,
Best regards,

Hi ITTECH,

actually, your notice is not an issue/error/bug, but a security enhancement at Plesk Onyx. It is not possible anymore to use the "-show-password" option, to get the clear-text password ( not encrypted ). Pls. inform yourself about existent options at:

If your Virtuozzo Power Panel ( which is not from Plesk! ) hasn't been updated/upgraded yet, pls. get in contact with your provider, to solve your issue. Here at the "Plesk Community Forum", we try to support "Plesk related issue(s)/errors/problems/discussions", while the Virtuozzo Power Panel is supported at => Support - Virtuozzo
