  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Miograting from a Fedora Core Linux server to Plesk

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have a Fedora Core server running that I setup myself. I'm now renting a Dedicated server running Fedora Core 6 with Plesk. How can I migrate my system accounts (/etc/passwd)to the new server?

Sincerely,

Hi Abel,

there is plesk migration manager for such purposes, I mean migrate from one panel to another;

look here

but i'm afraid if you have just account on server, you will have to migrate them manually:(

The source server currently has no control panel, that is the issue. Any suggestions how I can migrate the /etc/passwd /etc/shadow files to my new dedicated server and migrate then to the poppassword files as well for the mail boxes? Basically I don't want my current clienys to have to provide me a new password. I want to migrate services to the new server without any actions needed by my clients. Any thoughts?
