• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Moving from another panel

René Dyhr

New Pleskian
Hello everyone :D

I'm currently using ISPConfig, a free panel, on a Debian 8 server.
I've thought about moving to Plesk because it's solving some of the issues I have.

Though I have one question before I take the next step to move to Plesk.
Can I simply install Plesk on my current system or do I need to reinstall Debian 8 and set everything up?
I don't really care if I have to set all the domains etc. up again but it would be easier if I didn't have to reinstall everything :)

The best solution is of course to reinstall the system and get a clean server.

Sure. We strongly do not recommend to perform Plesk installation on the system with any third-party software already installed.
Please use clean server with fresh Debian or CentOS installation for Plesk.
