• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

mySQL error

chartman

Basic Pleskian
I recently upgraded from Plesk 7.5 to 8.01 for Windows. Everything seems to be working except for mySQL. When I try to modify a database I get the following error.

Error: Unable to connect to the data source using the defined settings. Server has returned:
ODBCError HY000: [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Any ideas about this error are greatly appreciated. I am running a Windows 2003 server.

The upgrade went without a hitch. Not sure if the 8.01 upgrade "reset" something instead of using the existing settings.

Thanks.

Look like the mysql is not runing.
Check to see if mysql has started.
If not try restarting it under services in windows remote desk top.

mySql down

I checked it and it is indeed running. I turned it off and then back on, and it is running according to windows, but Plesk can't seem to work with it.

Could it be that the plesk upgrade to 8.1 has not upgraded the permissions?

Thanks for any further ideas.
