MySQL upgarde on Panel version 11.x

FarazK

New Pleskian
Hi,

Following is our system details

OS CentOS 6.3 (Final)
Panel version 11.0.9 Update #55, last updated at June 26, 2013 09:25 AM

I have been trying to update MySQL to version 5.5 via Plesk autoinstaller from command '/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller' and when go to next step at components page, it does not show me the option to select MySQL different version at all. It only shows "12. [=] MySQL server support" but there is no option to select the version.

While when I run the same autoinstaller command on another server, it gives me option to select MySQL version 5.1 or 5.5!

Can someone please let me know where I am wrong?

Regards,
Faraz H. Khan

Hi,

Seems like it hasn't been released for CentOS 6.x, so I finally had to do it manually.

You can use third-party repositories to upgrade mysql or change it to percona-server or mariadb. For example REMI repository has mysql5.5 packages.
