Important New Plesk webmail / SOGo Webmail extension

I used stable packages.

Output:
sogo/bionic,now 3.2.10-1build1 amd64 [installiert] sogo-common/bionic,bionic,now 3.2.10-1build1 all [installiert]

My output is:

Code:
root@plesk ~ # apt list --installed 'sogo*'
Listing... Done
sogo/bionic,bionic,now 3.2.10-1build1 amd64 [installed]
sogo-common/bionic,bionic,bionic,bionic,now 3.2.10-1build1 all [installed]

What I'm wondering: Isn't v3.2.10 a bit old? The latest stable version of SOGo seems to be v5.8.0. That's way more ahead.

here it is 5.5.1, does well

  • "Stable" - the packages will be installed from the OS repository. Ubuntu18 - has its own "stable", v3.2.10.
I have received an answer from the developer. According the SOGo changelog, appropriate method (AES-128-CBC) was added in v4.3.0. It means we have a bug that it is possible to install the "stable" packages on Ubuntu18.

On my Ubuntu22, "stable" from system's repository is...
Code:
# apt list --installed 'sogo*'
Listing... Done
sogo-common/jammy,jammy,now 5.5.1-1 all [installed]
sogo/jammy,now 5.5.1-1 amd64 [installed]

  • "Nightly" - the packages will be installed from the SOGo repository. v5.8.0 should be installed as "Nightly" because it is the latest available release on GitHub.

Thanks for your response. I've removed your package and re-installed it. After opening it, I've tried installing the nightly build without success:

Code:

Do you have any idea how I can manually change the version which should be installed? I've searched the sources list without any susccess.

Just a small update, unfortunately it does not help now in case of Ubuntu18 but allows a little bit cleaning up the system.

If you previously installed "stable" version on Ubuntu18, to clean the system you need to do the next steps:
  • remove the extension from Plesk,
  • run 'apt autoremove' to remove dependencies that cause conflicts with "nightly" packages.

We have found another issue related to Ubuntu18 and database installed by default from system's repositories, need time to investigate the issue.

P.S. BTW, EOL for Ubuntu18 is coming, it will happen on April 26, 2023. Probably, it is a good reason to thing about upgrade...

Hello!
Thank you for this implementation!
1: Forward settings done into plesk email management not replicate into Sogo... (both way)
2: Auto-reply settings done into plesk email management not replicate into Sogo (both way)
1-2A: Which one is the primary settings?
3: webmail.domain.com/SOGo... Can we remove the /SOGo for better experience use? Or an automatic redirection to /SOGo?
4: Can you provide better explaination about SOGO Worker?
5: SOGo Webmail is a little bit slow to respond when we attempt the URL....
6: The SOGo language work well we can choose the right language on the webmail
7: SSL certificate will be implemented?

8: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Maybe I could help.

Hi everyone,

In the last days of the prev. year, a new release was published, there is a changelog:

0.1.2 (30 Dec 2022)

  • [+] Databases on older versions of MySQL and MariaDB are now configured properly, allowing SOGo to be used on CentOS 7.
  • [-] Opening webmail.example.com will no longer greet user with the "Web Server's Default Page". It will show SOGo login page as expected. Run plesk sbin httpdmng --reconfigure-server to see this change immediately. (EXTPLESK-4198)
  • [-] Packages from Ubuntu 18.04 OS repositories are no longer considered compatible. (EXTPLESK-4199)
  • [-] Installing the extension on an unsupported OS now shows way more readable messages about OS compatibility. (EXTPLESK-4200)

Hello!
I have found a big issue!
On the webmail when [email protected] want try to share his calendar with another user from domain1.com he can found on the list all the email address of ALL DOMAINS!!!! It's a big issue!

Can you adjust the sogo conf details for blocking access to other domain user!

Thank you!

This is a major security fail! I have customers on one server, that should never see other customers in their groupware!
Not only with calendars, also when you search for subscriptions in the address book, you get suggestions from all Plesk domains.
Please fix ASAP.
