  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved New Relic does not detect PHP applications

Liew CheonFong

Basic Pleskian
Background Info
  • My server is running Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 with New Relic extension version 1.1.0-1
  • WordPress sites on the server are set to use NGINX only.
  • I already set newrelic.appname = "domainname.com" in web root (/htdocs/.user.ini) AND Plesk > Domain > PHP Settings > Additional configuration directives
Problem
  • PHP applications (WordPress) are not detected in New Relic dashboard.
  • Uninstalled and Reinstalled New Relic extension did not help.
  • (Server is detected. Site that set to use Apache is detected, too)
Any idea? Should I uninstall New Relic extension and install it manually?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Liew,

did you select the correct PHP version in the list on the APM installation page?

Once the installation is done, go to the PHP settings and check the phpinfo() page. Can you find "newrelic" there?

Greetings
