I guess the title says it all...

I can't login to plesk anymore after I updated to the 7.5.3 version. When I try to login it redirects me back to the login screen withou any error messages.

But when I try to access via Firefox browser it works all right...

Any comments, suggestions?

Wacky. Sorta the same deal here except its in any browser.

I noticed similar behaviour with the Beta.

If what you are experiencing is basically the same as me, I think it is something to do with history/cache, even though clearing the cache in the browser does not help.

Try this: instead of logging on via the address you normally use, try using a different one (e.g. https://www.domain2.com:8443 instead of https://www.domain1.com:8443)

Like I said, I dont know if it will help, as the problem may be nothing to do with the one I experienced.

Faris.

thanks, tried on my end. No love.

I did notice it's creating the sessions on the disk but never inserting anything into the psa session table.

for me it's basiclly for all domains :-(
but still just under IE

I've also have the same problem.. but works fine when I access admin from another domain.. as mentioned in a earlier post...

This is a know bug in Plesk. I have plesk explained the
issue and it seems only to work in mozilla. They
have reported this issue to their developers. I hope
they come with a quick patch for this.

RHFC2 (aka Fedora Core 2) with Plesk 7.5.3. Three different servers, IE 6.0.2900.2180.... Fully functional.

Only problem I had was during upgrade changed webmail configuration..kinda tossed me into a loop till I did a "service httpd restart".. Works like new now...

Just thought I'd drop in a penny or two of my good sense...

I have the same problem here with virtuozzo , plesk 7.5.3 template with fedora core 2. Please tell me how to resolve it.

I'm facing the same problem with my Plesk after upgrading!! Need patch urgently!!! clients are furious!!!

well,

I don't know if there were made any changes, but for me the access via IE is working again

I gave up and had ezm 'complete' the update to 7.5.3
Plesk was unable to stop mysql during the original upgrade attempt so it crapped out. At that point is when my control panel stopped working.
After ezm fixed the mysql pid location they completed the upgrade and the control panel started working again.

http://easyservermanagement.com

They reparid init.d to know where the mysql pid file was and then mysql could be controled by the updater.
Took them about 35 min. and $65 USD.

Worth it after I banged my head on it for 8 hours.

I re-checked the /etc/my.cnf and didn't see any pid-file=/..... entry so I'm not sure exactly how they fixed it but they did.
