notification on failed backups

Hi,

We are not getting any email notifications when our backup fails, our backups are scheduled to back up every day then remote FTP.

in Manage Backups / Scheduled Backup Settings, there is an option for email notifications which dosnt seem to be working

dose anyone know if this function is working or knows a fix for it?
