  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

One Mail-Relay address for every client

New Pleskian
Hi!

we use one default hostname for imap/pop and smtp services. For Dovecot and Postfix there is also a valid SSL certificate installed. Now we want to get this hostname to the client's help text inside the mail configuration (e-mail client setup --> manual configuration). Per default the client's domain name is showed there for outgoing and incoming mail-server. Can this be changed anywhere to one static value?

It would be great to get some ideas how to get this solved.

Hi,

you should be able to edit the following file:
/usr/local/psa/admin/application/smb/views/scripts/email-address/configuration.phtml

Please create a backup of it prior to editing it :)

Please do be aware though, that this file will get overwritten with updates. So you will have to check it and modify it from time to time :)

Regards
Kristian
