PHP changes in Plesk not taking effect

Doesn't matter how I set the php in Plesk it's always running as CGI/FastCGI. The changes has been done every where but still not taking effect even after reboot.

I need to change the memory_limit but it has a cap at 512M no matter the changes I made to php.ini inside etc/php5/cgi/php.ini or creating a new php.ini inside the httpdocs site.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi,

I get similar problems with changing PHP settings in Custom View. Be it by trying to change the default server wide (which should edit /etc/php.ini and doesn't) or on a per domain basis (which should edit /var/www/vhosts/XXXX/etc/php.ini and doesn't). Plesk itself stores the changed value but doesn't actually apply it.

I haven't had your other problem with cgi/fastcgi. What OS are you using?

Paul.

Richie, if you have not resolved this problem I would like to help you with it but I would require access to your server. As its quite interesting...

However before then, please ensure that the memory settings are NOT set in the software it self / php application you are using ..(I had this problem once and only after a long time of digging around and finely going backto the developers I was told the limits were set in there own script)

Secondly on any of the domain names on your server, please add the following code

vi /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/info.php
<?php echo phpinfo(); ?>

Send me http://domain.com/info.php I take a look at it ...
