  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Issue Plesk logs admin out at abstract timings

MHC_1

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Alma Linux 9
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.69 Update #3 Web Host Edition
I'm in the middle of things on the Plesk server as Admin login with full access and at somewhat random timings Plesk decides to arbitrarily log me out. This is both bad for work flow, but also there are updates that are part done, things such as migrations and other processes that then I can't find if they've been completed or if I need to restart processes from the outset again.

Logging back in always displays the message access denied. However this doesn't "fit" the activities occurring before the kick out. What's going on? Why?

This happens a couple times a day.
Is this a bug? It's a new Plesk server only a month old.

Default logout time is 15 minutes, if that's too short for you, you can change it by going to Server Management > Tools & Settings > Security > Session Settings. From there adjust the time to your liking.

@scsa20

No, you misunderstand, I am in the middle of doing things on the server, and then Plesk decides to log me out. The down time between page loads is like seconds or max 120 seconds, rather than minutes.

@MHC_1 can you please navigate to Tools & Settings > Session Idle Time and double-check if "Allow IP address changes during a single session" is enabled? If it isn't, please try enabling it for the sake of testing.

While the IP at this end doesn't change more often than every 24-48 hours, selecting this option does indeed seem to make log ins more stable. Thank you.

UPDATE:

This is still happening despite the option being set. We had a good morning with this logout not occurring but that's now doing it twice in the last 15 minutes.
