• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk not creating Smartermail IIS bindings

SupportAXL

New Pleskian
Hi All,

We have a Plesk Panel 10.x setup with Smartermail 8.x running under IIS 7.5 ... The problem that we have is that whenever we add a new package to the Plesk, the website is successfully created under IIS, however the SmarterMail site in IIS doesnt update the IIS bindings with webmail.domain.com ...

So till I do not manually add webmail.domain.com to the SmarterMail site bindings, it goes to the default Plesk Panel page. How can we ensure that whenever a new domain/hosting package is created, it also adds a binding under IIS in SmarterMail site.

Thanks ...

Do you have Parallels Plesk Panel 10.4.4 with MU#6 installed? As far as I remember there was fixed some bug regarding Smartermail 8 integration.

Hi IgorG ... We have updated the Plesk to 10.4.4 with MU6 ... And we also configured the default email client to Smartermail ... Now it does create the bindings and redirects. Now we are running into a different problem though ... the Customer and Business manager does not have SmarterMail listed in the drop down for selecting default mail client while creating or editing a plan ...

What we have done is to go to the Plesk Panel and update the default client ... but it comes up with this message that editing business manager plans in plesk would lead to inconsistency ... Could you please tell us something about it ...
