  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Plesk Panel does not work. :8447 New installation / update.

Hi bartekPL1,

the correct URL to login into your Plesk Control Panel would be:

=> https://vps444529.ovh.net:8443

... but you should make sure, that all needed services are up and running.

Example command to use over the command line:
Code:
service psa restart
or
Code:
service sw-cp-server restart

service sw-engine restart

You've only got 2 ports open on your server (22 and 995). Not sure if you're running CentOS or not, but here's what we do on OVH every time we purchase a server:

- Let OVH install the OS and Plesk (they'll install an ancient Plesk version)
- Log into your OVH Panel and reinstall the OS (such as CentOS 7.3) or whichever OS you want
- Wait for the install to complete and the email with your Plesk license
- Log into your VPS via terminal and update the OS with the latest updates
- When done, your server is ready to use
- Log in to your Plesk panel and update Plesk to the latest 17.5 version

OVH will open all required ports on your server, auto-install your Plesk license and you're good to go.

Same method we've used for years and has always worked flawlessly. Hope it helps.

Hi bartekPL1,

pls. inspect the corresponding log - files for issues/errors/problems. You can find a decent documentation, where to find log - files and configuration - files when you use Plesk on your server, at the KB - article:

Sometimes, it is as well a good idea to change the log - level ( TEMPORARILY! ), to get more informations in Plesk - log - files:

In addition, @themew shared his experiences with OVH, which are as well very usefull to follow. :)
