I am attempting to migrate an entire 8.2 (linux) server over to 9.0 (linux)

However, after performing the backup, I copied the dumps to the new 9.0 server - only to notice that the pre9-backup-convert file mentioned in the KB (http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...-migration-guide/index.htm?fileName=62708.htm) IS NOT THERE!!!!!!

This is a fresh install of PSA 9.0. I have searched the whole filesystem. It is NOT on my drive. Any idea where this file could be, and why I don't have it???

maybe this helps you a bit, here the content of the script under /usr/local/psa/bin/pre9-backup-convert, which calls the convert tool

#!/usr/bin/python2.5

import sys
sys.path[:0] = ["/usr/lib64/sw/python2.5/site-packages","/usr/local/psa/admin/lib/python","/usr/local/psa/admin/share/pre9_backup_convert"]
import pre9_backup_convert
pre9_backup_convert.main()
check out if you have it in /usr/local/psa/admin/share/pre9_backup_convert
/usr/local/psa/admin/share/pre9_backup_convert # ls -la
total 56

Looking on my system:-

Code:
# rpm -qf /usr/local/psa/bin/pre9-backup-convert
psa-backup-manager-9.0.0-cos5.build90081208.07

It appears that it is part of psa-backup-manager, did you install the backup manager? (I don't think it is installed as part of the default installation (not much is))
