  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Problem with Virtual Host Template

I tried to create a virtual host template for upcoming domains on my own. Almost everything worked fine until I created a new domain, because all files in the created structure have the same, but wrong permissions. In the file browser of the virtual host template everything is correct.

Any ideas?

Do you mean skeleton? When physical hosting is created these files are copied from skeleton, by default it is $HTTPD_VHOSTS_D/.skel/0/

Hi Igor,
yes I think it's the skeleton. It's on the Start Page of Plesk and called "Virtual Host Template". So I did my own skeleton, zipped and uploaded it. And everything was fine. Even the permissions of all files. Then I tried to create a subdomain, which worked almost properly, but every file has had 755 as permission. Did I made a mistake?

Hi Igor,
did you have any answers for me? Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sascha
