Problems with ColdFusion integration

We've several servers with the following configuration:

windows 2008 r2
ColdFusion 8.0.1
Plesk 10.3.0

and both servers have problems related to ColdFusion integration with Plesk:

1. Disabling ColdFuson for any subdomain within any sunscription does not work - it just shows 'Information: The changes were saved. ' message but ColdFusion remains enabled in plesk and all mappings still there when checked with IISAdmin. Executing subdomain.exe from console does work properly:

%%Plesk_Bin%%\subdomain.exe --update <subdomain> -domain <domain_name> -coldfusion false
%%Plesk_Bin%%\subdomain.exe --update <subdomain> -domain <domain_name> -coldfusion true

so it looks like problem is with Plesk interface API.

2. On previous Plesk 9.x we had CFIDE virtual directory created automatically for each new domain/subdomain with ColdFusion support enabled, but on new Plesk 10 is it not creating at all. Is this common behaviour for Plesk 10 or we have some problem with our servers configuration?

Regards, Alex

Hello,

we have noticed this problem as well.

Has this problem been noticed&confirmed by Parallels and when we expect MU with fix of this?

Thanks

Posting reports:

1.
PRODUCT - Plesk

VERSION - 10.3.0

OPERATING SYSTEM - windows2008 - r2

ARCHITECTURE - x64

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION AND STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Disabling ColdFuson (we have 8.0.1 version of ColdFusion on our servers) for any subdomain within any subscription does not work - it just shows 'Information: The changes were saved. ' message but ColdFusion remains enabled in plesk and all mappings still there when checked with IISAdmin.

ACTUAL RESULT:
On disabling ColdFusion Plesk just shows 'Information: The changes were saved. ' message but ColdFusion remains enabled in plesk interface and all mappings still there when checked with IISAdmin

EXPECTED RESULT:
On disabling ColdFusion Plesk shows 'Information: The changes were saved. ' message, ColdFusion disabled in plesk interface and all mappings removed properly when checked with IISAdmin

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Executing subdomain.exe from console does work properly:

%%Plesk_Bin%%\subdomain.exe --update <subdomain> -domain <domain_name> -coldfusion false
%%Plesk_Bin%%\subdomain.exe --update <subdomain> -domain <domain_name> -coldfusion true

so it looks like problem is with Plesk interface API.

Thank you for detailed report. I have forwarded it to developers for the further investigation. I will update thread with results as soon as I receive it.

Could you please provide architecture of ColdFusion - x32 or x64?

Hello Igor,

All servers except one have ColdFusion 8.0.1 - 32bit.
And we have one server with ColdFusion 9.0.1.274733 - 32bit with exact the same symptoms.

Regards, Alex

Thank you. I have forwarded it to developers. Let's wait their answer.

CFIDE virtual directory for the domain is not created automatically by Plesk
From 10.2.0 it's created only for default IIS site, because it's not used by Plesk per domain. Does it cause some issue for you?

It causes issues for our customers who expects that enabling CF support for a domain will make their CF forms work, but in the situation when CFIDE folder is not mapped to this particular domain/subdomain it is impossible and the customer have to upload whole CFIDE folder by himself/herself.

Thanks

Hi IgorG

Is this same with Plesk 10.3.1 and coldfusion 9?. We are also facing the same issue. Plesk 10 doesn't create `cfide` virtual directory. We also need to manually add 'cfide' virtual directory from our customers.

I've just noticed that the cfide virtual folder is no longer being created, but it was being created previously.

Microsoft Windows 6.1;build-7601;sp1.0;suite1296;product3 64 Bit
Parallels Plesk Panel v10.4.4_build20111103.18 os_Windows 2003/2008
ColdFusion 9,0,1,274733

We've just upgraded to Plesk 11 and it still doesn't create the cfide virtual folder in ColdFusion enabled accounts.

CFIDE Virtual Directory No longer created by Plesk

I have the same problem. The CFIDE virtual directory is no longer created by Plesk 11 for new CF sites on Windows 2008 Server 64bit, running ColdFusion 8, 32bit. This is a problem.

Is there a fix?

Thanks!
