• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Simple problem creating websites

Hi all,

I've got a Win2K3 server with Plesk 7 installed (both installed by techs at The Planet, my colom so I am assuming everything is correct)

When I create websites in Plesk users cannot browse anonymously (a username/password prompt) because they are using WWW-Authenticate (according to the error page). In order to make the sites browsable I always have to go into IIS and manaully change permission settings. I really hate doing this and it seems like Plesk created websites should be browsable without so much trouble. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Justin

PS. Even from within Plesk, after I finish creating the website and hit the preview button I still get challenged for a password.
