• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Did you ever get your server upgraded to 8.0 completely and your email working?

Yes, everything is fine now!
I have now Plesk 8.0
But spam assassin is not working....

Try to reinstall spamassassin and psa-spamassassin. Log in via ssh and do a rpm -e spamassassin psa-spamassassin. Then use the autoinstaller to install spamassassin again. See if that helps.

Hi, I did what you told me, but i get this error from the autoinstaller>

Any Ideas???

Does anyone has this problem???? My server is now letting pass all the spam, because is not properly configured

Was spam being blocked before without spamassassin running? Are you on Debian? Do you run DNS on this server?

Linux Fedora Core 2
Have DNS an all.

Yes, It was blocking pretty well.

I don't know what else to tell you. I run spamassassin from art's rpms with server wide settings. The spamassassin that will be install here is a different rpm. Maybe someone else knows what this might be.

I found that something between Plesk and spamassassin was wrong... very very wrong. My server load went from 0.1 and lower, to a truly wonderful 5.1+, with spamassassin randomly dying and requiring me to manually SSH into my server and restarting spamassassin (which would shoot the server load up over the 14 mark, slaughtering any other running processes until it was done dealing with all the ****).
Uninstalling spamassassin, and even rolling back to a version that I knew worked did nothing. This tells me that the problems are actually somewhere in the qmail build that was distributed with Plesk 8. In the prior Plesk versions, there was never this problem, and the only changes that have been made on the server were the ones made by the upgrade script.
Anyway, on topic, I found I had to set a 3 hour cron to restart the spamassassin service, in order for it to actually catch the spam. And as for the actual install problem, stear away from the Plesk build, and try using yum with art's repository. I'm finding that I trust art's rpm builds more than sw-soft's anyway.

service spamassassin restart
Have a look at what d003 replied with on the other thread from this weekend. This may be part of your problem too.

how can uninstall the spam qmail blocker that comes with plesk 8.0?

I still have the same problem./
No Spam assassin running!
and some Emails are not working yet....

I have uninstall spam assassin an install it back several times, and the same error appears:

I have tried to uninstall spam assassin several times with rpm -e or yum remove and the using plesk updater....and still nothing...

What else can I try????

Have you tried to install the rpms manually? Look in /root/psa/PSA_8.0.0/... and see if you see the spamassassin and psa-spamassassin rpms. You will have to look in that directory as I can't remember the exact folder they are in. Then try
rpm -Uvh spamassassin psa-spamassassin
You can always try to use art's spamassassin with qmail-scanner using yum. More info at his site .

This

libselinux-1.11.4-1

I have uninstalled several times spam assassin I am sure that the problem is related to some config file, just know what could it be.....

does anybody has anything so i can try to fix this issue???

Thanks!
