Resolved SpamAssassin daily update cron exited with return code 4

lordnikkon

New Pleskian
On all our systems there is a problem with the SpamAssassin update cron. This is the error message (received by eMail):
Code:
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/60sa-update exited with return code 4

I found this solution but it didn't help
Code:
# wget http://spamassassin.apache.org/updates/GPG.KEY
# sa-update --import GPG.KEY

Any idea what's wrong?

What is the output of command:

/usr/bin/sa-update; echo $?

On our servers the same thing. I also tried your GPG.KEY snippet, but also don't work for us.
What is the output of command:
/usr/bin/sa-update; echo $?

config: warning: description exists for non-existent rule USER_IN_ALLOWLIST_TO
channel: lint check of update failed, channel failed

This work not for me

The same with me!
Receive an email every day
Subject: Cron <root @ .....> test -x / usr / sbin / anacron || (cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily)
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/60sa-update exited with return code 4

What I found out that it has to do with a missing certificate.
wget http://spamassassin.apache.org/updates/GPG.KEY - here is a mistake
but try that!
and then
# sa-update --import GPG.KEY
but error message remains!

The same on our machines:
Code:
config: warning: description exists for non-existent rule USER_IN_ALLOWLIST_TO
channel: lint check of update failed, channel failed

# rpm -qf /usr/bin/sa-update
spamassassin-3.4.0-5.el7_7.x86_64

# rpm -qi spamassassin | grep Vendor
Vendor : CentOS

As you can see, vendor of the affected package is CentOS. SpamAssassin Bug 7838 – sa-update failes with error message (warning) is marked as Fixed. So, we have to wait for CentOS package update with the included fix, I suppose.

Guys, CentOS was just an example. Of course, this applies to all operating systems for Plesk.
