We are using plesk 6.5.2 for windows web hosting, however, we are not using mailenable for opening email accounts for users. MX record is never pointed to the plesk server at all, however, some emails are routed to plesk machine.
Let me take an example
domain.com dns is using some other machine, unrelated to plesk.
domain.com A <plesk machine>
www.domain.com A <plesk machine>
mail.domain.com A <imail server>
domain.com MX <imail server>
dns service, mail service turn off in plesk, but i am force to input a catchall address for the domain mail service...
strange some email reaches that catch all account. the email are sent via outlook, and are personal emails, not spam.
Another client of mine, use a newly installed plesk server, not using its dns and mail service, also receive mails from plesk servers......strange! MX of the domain is not pointed to plesk at all, how come it can "eat " the email?
we found plesk suport, but not reply yet...any ideas?
