• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Temporarily add an old PHP 7.4.28 release, so as to recover data from an old, 3rd party app

learning_curve

Golden Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.48
We've moved all of our web applications onto PHP 8.2.0 ( It became available as per the Plesk Changelog HERE ) No issues or problems with this & all good.
The only applications that we have still running, the now EOL, PHP release of 7.4.* are Plesk itself plus some of the associated Plesk Extentions.
This post is not about Plesk running on EOL PHP releases. That's already being discussed by others elsewhere. This post is exclusively as per the title.
We'd like to temporarily, add PHP 7.4.28 to glean some data from a now outdated & unused 3rd party app that we still have hosted (but that's not in pubic view)
If anybody has process notes for: The addition to Plesk / Usage on a domain hosted via Plesk / The removal from Plesk... of an old PHP Release, please reply. Thx!
