• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Tonight my Plesk 12 installation failed to upgrade for some reason. An automatic email message says: Unable to update . An error occurred while processing your key. You can try updating it later.

Pkesk is now deactivated:

How can I check what happened before contacting the key provider (an italian web hosting company)?

Try to analyse output of following command for key update process initialization:

# /usr/local/psa/bin/sw-engine-pleskrun /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/script.php -f UpdateKeys

Hi IgorG, we are having this issue too. That command outputs nothing for us.

I've also switched us to a trial key, and it still isn't working.

I fixed it by moving /etc/sw/keys/keys and recreating the folder with the same permissions, then reuploading the key.
