  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Unable to connect with remote agent

Hello,

I'm trying to migrate from Plesk 8.6 to Plesk 10.2.
Both servers are Windows 2008. I've opened all required posts, all required services are running.

I'm always getting the following error on the destination server:

Unable to connect with remote agent (connection to host is not available)

I have tried countless times. I also tried using the TCP channel type, instead of HTTP, no luck.

Any ideas?

Thank you

This is outstanding.

I have paid $150 for support, haven't receive any code or anything via email.
I just paid $150...nothing else happened. :)

There's no contact options besides paid one, there's nothing I can do.

Please someone from Parallels?

Alex

Migration manager uses samba to transfer content from source server to destination. Message "Unable to connect with remote agent (connection to host is not available)" appears when destination server cannot connect to \\<source server IP>\ADMIN$ with specified credentials. Please try to check that you have access to \\<source server IP>\ADMIN$ from your destination server.
Detailed information about firewall and Windows services configuration you may get from following article Configuring Firewall and Windows to Enable Migration

Grettings Sergey,

Thank you for your input.
I have enabled all required ports. Also, the credentials belong to the Administrator account on the source server.

I have actually tried connecting with both firewalls turned off, still it won't connect.

No, using \\<source server IP>\ADMIN$ i cannot connect to the source server.
Client for Microsoft Networks as well as File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks are installed in both server. Also, all the required services are running in both servers.

Thank you
Aex

Does ADMIN$, IPC$ and C$ exists in Administrative tools\Computer management\System tools\SharedFoldes\Shares on the source server? Could you open \\127.0.0.1\ADMIN$ on your source server?
