Unable to reconfigure domain with websrvmng.exe

Hi,


We have updated Plesk for Windows from version 8.4 to 9.0.

Since then when we create a domain we are unable to update hosting preference
or delete a domain from plesk.

We tried using the following to ensure that the domain is configured correctly.
"%plesk_bin%\websrvmng.exe" --remove-vhost --vhost-name=fadoqrrss.org

That work perfectly. But when trying the following command we get this result.
"%plesk_bin%\websrvmng.exe" --reconfigure-vhost --vhost-name=fadoqrrss.org

Access is denied. (COM Error 80070005) at addHosting(fadoqrrss.org)


The event viwer says:

Now we have the domain in Plesk but no more in IIS because of the
--remove-vhost --vhost-name=fadoqrrss.org command.

Important.

After creating the domain and Even before running the command --remove-vhost we had the following errors when trying to update the Web Hostong Settings:

Error: Unable to update hosting preferences: Unable to reconfigure Web server: websrvmng failed: Access is denied. (COM Error 80070005) at addHosting(fadoqrrss.org)


And when trying to access the Web Directories menu for the specific domain.

WebServerManager::getWebDirs() failed: websrvmng failed: Site fadoqrrss.org doesn't exist

This update is a real nightmare and need help. Plesk support staff need
to look into this, help us on this. All of this is du to the update.
Everything was working before.

Please help!!!!!


This domain has to be up and running before monday 26 jan 2009.

Try running the plesk reconfigurator to fix permissions on components and plesk directories, that may help with your COM error getting a permission denied.

We have solved Problem

Thank you very much for your reply. Greatly appriciated.

We had already tried the Plesk Reconfigurator with no success.

Since this was urgent we decided to reformat web server and restart
from the begining. Had no choice.

Parallels does not let us contact them with the upgrade issue until
we pay.

We pay for upgrades (SUS) and then if there QA departement does'nt test
everything correctly and puts us (Web hosting suppliers) in trouble because
marketing what's the new version out. It seems we have to pay for that.

Very disapointed in Parallels way to do things. Far away from other software
suppliers. Were customers count. Customers are the one promoting the product
the most.

We need a new control panel for new server and looking for something else.
Hope we will find.

Use procmon if you're on a 2k8 box.
