Update PHP 4.4.2 - 4.4.6

Hi,

I must update the PHP version from 4.4.2 (the version shipped with plesk 7.6.1) to 4.4.6 because a certain (known) bug in 4.4.2

What is the best way to update it? (I think I don't want to go to 8.1 yet. I'm waiting on a new server, then I will go to 8.1).

I tried to copy the PHP dir and the (php)dll's in system32, but I cannot copy the dll's (even when I shut down entire plesk with plesk service monitor).

Can I just run the PHP4.4.6 package and run it? Or do I have to do it manually (as php recommends). How to upgrade to 4.4.6?

Please help is needed!

Snef.

Has every body upgraded to 8.1???

Are there any people here who have upgraded their PHP (4.4.2 to 4.4.6) in the 7.5/7.6.1 version?

Please, help is needed!!!

Watch out...i've heard horror stories of upgrading PHP with plesk running. Do a search on php in this forum...you'll see.

The horror stories are about the upgrade from 4x to the 5x version.
That I won't do ;)

I just want to update 4.4.2 to 4.4.6 because 4.4.2 contains a bug. That was solved in newer versions (and I really need it!!!).

Nobody??????
