Upgrade to 11.5.30 changed permissions on Joomla websites

PaulyPaul

New Pleskian
Hello,

I upgraded my VPS Plesk server to 11.5.30 today and something connected to the upgrade seems to have changed the permissions of the Joomla files in the domains.

On the surface everything looks ok. One of the domains (pauldavis.me.uk) all the files in httpdocs seem to have the correct ownership:

pauldavis.me.uk psacln

and the user pauldavis.me.uk is in the psacln group.

but I cannot make any changes to the Joomla config in the admin area or install any new components/patches etc.

I'm hoping someone can point in the right direction to start troubleshooting this problem :)

Regards

Paul

Hi ValdisS,

I don't seem to get any Plesk error as such, do you mean in Joomla. The folder permissions look fine, 755 for folders and 644 for files.

The owner and group look fine too.

There are 4 domains on this VPS all running Joomla. For 3 of them the frontpage loads but when in the admin area changes can't be made. However one of the sites doesn't load the frontpage at all.

These were all working fine before the plesk upgrade so I'm assuming some kind of setting related to permissions in Plesk has changed and caused this issue.

Hope you can help!

Regards

Paul
