• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

UPgraded from 9.3 to 11 and now Plesk CP won't work

We recently had a website breach and some injected code so asked Fasthosts about nay possible causes. They mentioned a problem Plesk had encountered so suggested we upgrade Plesk CP 9.3 to 11

The processes run by us to resolve a recent breach of Plesk are as follws to make it easy to follow:

We ran the automated installers for Plesk CP and was going from 9.3 to 11

We received the success screen.

Then found that no sites would run or the Plesk control panels

NOTE: we use "IIS mod rewrite" on our 2 servers

What we noticed was that the Application Pools for Plesk had stopped. You could start them but when you then tried to access a website the Plesk App Pool would be Stopped.

We managed to get our sites back up and running by creating an Application Pool that was not the same one Plesk uses and we atached all our sites to it so the sites now work fine and the IIS mod rewrite rules are all working just fine.

Problem we still have is Plesk CP won’t load

Any ideas?????
