Hi,

I am trying to upgrade from Plesk 7.5.4 to Plesk 7.6.1 for Windows

I thought the Updater would do this job for me :p

Can you guys please give me a step by step instruction on how to do this please.

Thanks,

Jadkit.

Why do the readme says that I can not install it to Virtuozzo server? I have a Virtual Root Server running Virtuozzo. So I can not have Plesk 7.6.1???

Jerry

I don't think I need to install 7.6.0 to install 7.6.1.
If I have 7.5.6+, I can install 7.6.1. This is what I believe. Am I wrong?

Plesk 7.6.1 fix the NTFS permissions, and if I install 7.6.0 first, I'll apply the wrong NTFS permissions, that was fixed in version 7.6.1

So, Can I install 7.6.1 under a 7.5.6+?
Did anyone tried?

Thanks.

HEyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Plesk 7.6.1 is gone! They removed the files from the FTP!

Why?????

I was going to install this version next week...

Probably not ready yet for primetime, as it was not officially released on their web site.

Hello,

Thanks.

Another question, may be not related. The "Updater" normally can be used to upgrade Plesk version or it's just not available yet?

Thanks again.

I had 7.5.6, upgraded to 7.6.0 and then to 7.6.1.
Now i have a lot of errors as described here: http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35367

Do you think these errors are related to permissions?
How to fix them?

Can you upgrade straight to 7.6.1 without installing 7.6.0 first I am on 7.5.6?

No, I didn't. I have some issues with NTFS File Permissions, same on version 7.6.0, but I learned how to fix this manually setting the permissions again.

Did you have?

Actually, I haven't upgraded yet, was waiting for Swsoft to fix the issues reported by early adopters of the initial release (7.6.0).
7.6.1 seems more reliable in that regard.

7.6.1 is very better! They fixed some stuff.
I loved to upgrade from 7.5.6 to 7.6.1

So can you upgrade straight to 7.6.1 from 7.5.6? without installing 7.6 first or do you need the 7.6.0 base installed

If you have 7.5.6 you can go ahead and install 7.6.1.
I have done the two things, 7.5.6 -> 7.6.0 -> 7.6.1 and 7.5.6 -> 7.6.1, because I have more than one server.
Same result on both cases.

so do I just download the 7.6.1 patch and apply it? and that will upgrade plesk to 7.6.1

Well... It's not a patch, it's an installation. You just download the install file of the 7.6.1 and install it. It will recognize the 7.5.6 and update.

The only patch available is for 7.6.0 to 7.6.1.

Why can't I upgrade my Virtuozzo server to Plesk 7.6.1? When will the version support it?
